Any standalone programs for calibration of Joy Sticks?

New Thrustmaster joy stick is a pain in both FSX and X-Plane in regards to calibration. I have tried everything within the programs themselves and the usual calibrating within Win 10. It remains jerky and will not hold an attitude without suddenly veering off in any direction, without warning. Flying the real thing is easier than this. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise the bin awaits the damned thing.

Solution
If it is self calibrating, then center any throttle or joystick, unplug the USB, and plug it back in. I use the T.Flight HOTAS and it works well this way, but Windows has its own calibration possible (in the "devices and printers").
