Hey, thought I'd throw this out to you guys before we throw in the towel and
buy a new camera.
I work at a small cable TV station and our good camera , Sony DXC-327A, is
telling the iris on our Canon VCL 713BX lens to close down all the way. We
took it to a repair shop and were told the DC to DC converter #146670912 is
bad and that repair parts are unavailable. It's an 8 year old several
thousand $$ camera and we were about to purchase some new audio gear, but
with our best camera down...
The manual for the camera was history long before I came on the scene & I've
searched the internet and can't find anything about this camera. There is
another one in town that a school uses and it has the same problem.
Could I put a non-auto iris lens on and use that?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Philip
ps: I tried to post this in rec.video.provessional , but the group seems
like it isn't working.
