Ok so I know that this 9th gen bad boy definitely won't bottleneck even my rtx 2080, but I just wanted to clarify and confirm its performance with the community.

So I've noticed that on many benchmarks, the 9600k has the exact same gaming performance if not better than the 8700k but gaming ONLY. When compared with the 9700k and 9900k, the three 9th gen brothers are basically the same gaming wise if compared at the same clock speed. Also if I am correct the 9600k is very optimal for overclocking since insane single core speed. If I said anything wrong, please let me know and correct me thank you!

It depends on how much you can get it for considering the prices on intel cpus have gone up lately.
If you can get the 8600K at lower price you should get it instead

tested with a gtx 1080

another one with gtx 1080ti which offers pretty much the same performance as the rtx 2080
but without 9600K but it should be somewhere between 8600k and 8700K so within 3% of the much more expensive 9900K
