Hey guys, I have this really old and outdated computer I had in my garage. I want to start building my own pc and checked it out but I have no knowledge at all about computers. So is there anything I can use from the old computer or should I start from scratch? Thanks.

Solution
Use that old pc as a training aid.
See if you can take it apart and put it back together again.
Try installing windows on it.

Agree you probably want to start from scratch if you need a new PC. The PSU / Mobo / Memory and CPU are unlikely to be compatible with any single upgrade. Don't bin it though as you could use it for a cheap NAS (I just turned an older i7-2600 PC with DDR3 RAM into a NAS server using TrueNas - not really needed, but a project with some hardware I would have thrown away otherwise)
