When going solo I use the voidwalker for my tank & when in a group I use my
imp because of blood pact it gives the group.
What reasons should i use the felhunter or succubus?

both have many uses in PVP, where you need damage, crowd control,
dispels and paranoia.

There was a bug with paranoia, where it caused threat and was spammable,
so the fellhunter could tank indefinitely while you channel AOE spells.
It has been fixed since, or so I'm told.

It is being fixed in the upcomming 1.5 patch.

Some warlocks make skillful use of the succubus for crowd control (only
after they learn Seduction, of course). I was in the Scarlet Monastery
once with one who used his Succubus to remove one mob from each group of
three or four while we dealt with the others in other ways. My warlock
friend commonly uses her felhunter when fighting casters, because its
Spell Lock ability gives her an additional edge.

Exactly...

Voidwalker:
- Good tank.
- Can keep aggro about the same as a Hunter's Bear.
- Makes the best "Life Bank" with Soul Link (if Demonology).
- Has Sacrifice, which is good in emergencies for PvE, and decent in
PvP to get off a Fear without interuption.

Best Use: When grinding mobs and pulling 1 at a time (ie Early game,
PvE). Also good dualing to Sacrifice right off the bat.

Imp:
- No Soul Shard to cast.
- Blood Pact is the Warlock's only party buff.
- Phase Shift makes sure the Imp can survice (when Passive).
- Decent DPS (if Destruction).

Best Use: Instances and Raids. Also if you're Destruction spec'd and
going for all out Burst DPS.

Succubus:
- Seduce is one of the best CC abilities the Warlock has.

Best Use: Grinding/Questing against Humanoid mobs. Anti-Rogue pet on a
PvP server, she's still the best "gank insurance". Best pet when
Affliction spec'd and doing all out "Drain Tanking" with Nighfall/Drain
Life.

Felhunter:
- Paranoia helps detech Stealth.
- Paranoia bug makes it also work as a Taunt (fixed next patch).
- Anti-Mage pet. Can disrupt their spell casting.

Best Use: When exploiting Paranoia, a better tank than the VW.
Otherwise a pure Anti-Mage pet. Very good situationally.
