Question Any way to force monitor refresh rate?

My issue im currently using a 60hz television and decided to have smoother gameplay so i overclocked it to 70hz and there was a difference but still wasn't satisfied. Whenever i try to overclock further (want to overclock it to 80hz) the tv switches off and comes up with a message "resolution not supported". Is there anyway to force the overclock. I want to risk it and idc about damaging the tv.

That’s not how it works...normally the max refresh rate is about 20% over normal but if it doesn’t work you won’t ever make it work because your tv can’t keep up with the refresh rate.
