Question Any way to tell if my CPU is still usable?

So I have a Ryzen 1800X that I pulled from my old system because the motherboard that I was using at the time (MSI Tomahawk B450) worked fine until I moved it to a new case and then the motherboard stopped POSTing. But it didn't affect all of the components attached to it, as I could still use my M2 drive and my RAM in the new motherboard that I purchased since the incident happened. I pulled the CPU out and it's fine - all the pins are intact. So if I were to put it into another motherboard would it be guaranteed to work? Or should I scrap the idea entirely? I would like to use the 1800X if at all possible.

Other than installing the CPU into a known working motherboard, you really can't tell if it will work or not. However, since the SSD and memory were okay, I think the odds are in your favor, brudda.

Yeah because I'm rebuilding my home PC with my new cooler and I figured that I would use the 1800X in my motherboard and if it works great. If not I have my 1700 as backup.
