I think that when you rescue Anya she should scan your character and give
the character some kind of Item that would benefit the kind of character you
are. For instance a Barbarian that uses Sword Mastery given a Helm or
something of the sort that benefits Sword Mastery not like i was just given
one that benefits Spear Mastery.

She's Useless with her items.

She should put up 4-5 rare class specific items so you can choose one.

The number of times she's given my bowazon a Matriarchal Spear is
annoying. Substitute MA-oriented claw for a trapper, etc.

I can probably count on two hands the number of times Anya, Akara, or
Ormus has given even untwinked chars something that was useful for
more than an hour. It's symptomatic of a basic D2 problem: monster
difficulty and item power have signficantly scaled up since D2 classic
but there are all these game elements and modifiers that were never
adjusted to go along with that, so now they are just silly junk,
including these gifts from the vendors.

I too have gotten spears everytime with my Amazon - a couple times I
just threw them away - heeheehee.
But - the last time - nightmare with my Sorc, I got a +2 to Sorc
skills orb! I can even continue using my shield! I nearly fainted!
This may hold me until I can get an Occulus.

Julie (who got 1 good thing).
