Anyone explain what grub, grubfromdos and syslinux is?

Hi, I'm using yumi multi boot and am trying to use the unlisted iso option however there's multiple of them they are listed as the following.
Unlisted iso from syslinux
Unlisted iso from grub partition 4
Unlisted iso grubfromram
Unlisted iso grub for Does

How do I know what one I should be using?

Also this is mainly to have an all in one windows USB stick to save me carrying around disks all the time

yumi is a great tool

though if you want different versions of windows on there dont understand why you would use the unlisted iso option

you should be using the windows installer option

Tried using the windows options and I keep bumping into this issue where say if I click windows XP pro it loads files and then the windows 7 install screen appears from another iso on the drive. I googled it and people are saying use the unlisted option
