[SOLVED] Anyone have experience using a 3.5mm extension cord for headphones?

I've read that they can damage the headphones when connecters move around and am wondering if anyone has used them and what your experience was? My other option since I'm getting new headphones would be to go with usb connector as I use those with my gaming controllers and the connection is a lot better than the 3.5mm style.

In general headphones should not get damaged by moving the plugs and jacks around on 3.5mm connectors.

I've used 3.5mm extensions a lot.

I don't have any problems.

Ideally you don't want to have to use an extension....but there are times when you have to.

There's nothing that a 3.5mm extension can do that would damage your headphones that the cable the headphones come with could already do.
