Just bought one of these cards and found it is very poorly described as having an inbuilt water cooling system. It wasn't until I opened it that I found it still needs to be connected to an existing pc cooling system. What do I buy now without spending too much more to be able to use it?

So do I pull the tubes off and plug them into the graphics card instead or does it attach to the card somewhere as is?

you will need to open the loop (the tubes are detachable) and connect it to the GPU.
you will need another tube and 2 fittings to connect the other port to the where you disconnected the original one.
those are cheap - 20$ max.
