Out of curiosity, do you know what the "V" means?

Well, my statement was meant to imply that jealous was a stupid word to choose. I too just worded it politely. I also don't know what you mean by people say things to make themselves feel better? Of course not blowing my money on shite deals makes me feel better. I'm definitely not the one that needs to admit a mistake here.

The ever present listed "Con" of all AIB cards that the "Axial fans exhaust waste heat into your case" is flat out ridiculous. Clearly the Aorus was running 5-10ºC cooler during the tests, so what's the problem?? Should I be worried about my ram or SSD overheating LOL?

Another "Con" peeve: "It's more expensive than the FE edition" (although not included in this article). So the card is 5-10% faster, runs cooler, and has a longer warranty. Why SHOULDN'T it cost more? Sheesh, whining for the sake of whining.

Actually yes you should worry. The extra warm air in your case will increase the ambient temperature of your case inside and if you do not have decent air flow it could lead to overheating of some components like sa your VRMs which will cause all kinds of issues.

That said it probably wont but its a possibility and is a con as blower style GPUs do keep the extra heat out of the case.

I've never tried it, and I'm not sure how reliable they can be in timings, but PCIE x16 extension cables might be the ticket to moving the GPU outside and on top of the case. Just don't put fingers in the fan 😀

yeah, say whatever you want about how great the rtx 2080Ti is.
If anyone on this planet has somewhat good memory and rational thinking he/she would remember that the GTX 1080Ti when launched almost two years ago at 699 USD was the fastest gaming gpu on the market. So basically we waited almost 2 years for a card that is around 30% faster but costs 80% more. That's not what I call a replacement but more like a rip-off

With no competition at the high-end, Nvidia has nothing to lose by price gouging. They'll increase prices as long as people are buying - and so far, they have been.

Gee, I've never heard of the VRMs on a mobo overheating unless there was a hardware failure. And clearly, the VRM's on a GPU are better cooled by 3rd party solutions- otherwise, the AIB cards wouldn't unanimously record lower temps vs founders/rear exhaust blowers.

Are we now worrying about PSU and RAM temps LOL??

It's obvious from the moon that AIB cooling solutions always surpass founder's editions... and cooler GPU temps are THE main factor in GPU performance. A slightly hotter CPU and ram doesn't mean squat.

So NO, I shouldn't worry bud.

I said it most likely wont happen but is a con either way as instead of moving the warm air out of your cas eit dumps it back in.

But hey to each their own.
