Question Aorus Rtx 3080 Master Crashing + Gpu fans at 4000rpm while gaming

Hi guys,
I recently bought a pc with a used Aorus Rtx 3080 master.

I have 2 issues with this gpu:

1: The temps are not great. The gpu stays around 82 C in any game I play which makes the fans go crazy. The fans are ramping up to almost 4000 rpm at times which is surprising because of the size of the cooler. I tried underclocking it which didn't change the temps at all. I tried setting a custom fan curve in Afterburner but the fans still went up. The guy who sold me the pc told me he repasted the gpu, so that could be the issue. In game I rarely have frame drops or artefacts even in heaven benchmark there is no issue.

2: The first time I ran a benchmark or played a gpu intensive game on this pc, I got a black screen with the sound of the game in background and the pc still ran. I could still talk to my friends and hear the game for a moment then the pc crashed. I decided to underclock the gpu which fixed the crashing issue for a while but sometimes when im playing for 2 hours+ the pc would crash the same way it did before underclocking. For certain games, the gpu crashes immediatly when opening a game like Forza Horizon 5. I would go through the loading screen but when 3d stuff starts appearing, the gpu crashes.

There could be an issue with the power supply not having enough room for the 3080 but the temps make me think that the issue is more gpu related. There is also a switch on the side of the graphics card to switch from OC bios to silent bios that I have set to silent mode but this didn't really change anything. I have heard that some people had issues with certain games with the switch set to OC.

I thought about sending the card to RMA but I don't know if changing the thermal pads would void the warranty. I also thought about repasting the card but I am not very familiar with repasting a gpu...

If any of you guys know the cause of these issues it would help me a lot!

Here are my specs:

Cpu: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cpu Cooler: Msi Mag Coreliquid V2 240
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3600mhz
Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix x570-e Gaming Wifi II
Gpu: Aorus Rtx 3080 Master 10Gb
Psu: Cooler Master 750w 80+ bronze

not sure about that PSU given the power spikes RTX3080 cards suffer from.
850W should be minimum to be on the safe side.
1000W would be ideal

EDIT:
Turns out , not every 3080 is as power hungry as my former MSI RTX3080 12 Gaming Z Trio(I miss it ...)which was a 390W card vs this Aorus master 320W.
So 850W would be plenty fine I imagine

Thanks for the advice! I just went and picked up a rm850x and the crashing problem seems to be resolved and the gpu temps are about 3-5 degrees C lower than before but when it hits 82 C the fans still ramp up to 3800rpm... I will look into changing the thermal pads because the temps don't really seem normal to me.
