I changed the appearance of the settings from Windows xp (modified) - to
Windows xp - and its tooo blue, I want the original setting back, but its
not showing in the box any more. How (apart from System Restore) can I
get Windows xp (modified) back, and also how can I change the font in the
body of this text please?

(Modified) is a generic tag and simply means that the user tweaked some
settings away from the original settings. After selecting the Windows XP
theme on the Themes page, go to Appearance and select silver or green in
the "color" box. They're the only other choices besides the blue for this
theme.

Thanks for that Sharon, all fixed now, but how do I change the font in the
body of this text please? I actually have selected Arial 9pt in the compose
section of Outlook Express, but plain text seems to come out in a large
Times Roman, which I would like to change.

You're welcome, Judy. Over in windowsxp.basics, I see that Frank Saunders
answered your question regarding OE text settings when working in plain
text mode and that you have found that reply and are headed in the right
direction. :)
