[citation][nom]jimmysmitty[/nom]I have had multiple new laptops customers have brought in, due to their old one going dead, that have come with a mini mouse with a wireless conector. In a personal preference, I can never give up a mouse. I don't like even using trackpads for laptops to work on them. They are just meh.[/citation]

Ah, I thought you meant most laptops come with a mouse bundled. I admit that trackpads in PC laptops are a bit meh. I had all but given up on them until I switched to Apple laptops. Their touchpads really are superb for non gaming use and you get used to their benefits really fast. Honestly, I know a lot of people think this is just another ploy by Apple to grab money (which they obviously are as well) but Mac users have been requesting this for ages. I've missed having all the gestures on my desktop. I was hoping that the Magic Mouse would fill the void but alas they missed out half the stuff that made their trackpads so good - pinch to zoom and rotate gestures etc. Apple can't make decent mice. At all. Trackpads on the other hand, they can.

I've only been using it for a day but I've already been grateful for it whilst reading a journal article on my computer yesterday, zooming in and out, rotating pages etc. For general use I find myself alternating between my Microsoft mouse and the Magic Trackpad. Scrolling through web pages is much nicer with the trackpad (inertia scrolling is lovely) but strictly GUI type stuff is quicker with a mouse.
