When it concerns the battery life, pretty much everyone. Make the phone fatter, but make it have some real battery. My old Nokia lasts a week without charging. My less old Nokia (N72) lasts 3-4 days. That's putting any modern "smartphone" to shame.

Feedback on the video? 😀

So the industry is just ignoring what consumers really want...is that it? Consumers don't really want a phone as thick as the Galaxy Nexus or RAZR, they really want those phones to be thicker to accommodate a fatter battery. Okay. :)

I was in a focus group several months ago discussing what has obviously become the Motorola RAZR and I don't ever remember any of the other 8-10 people saying they would sacrifice form-factor for better battery life. It is actually neat to see that the RAZR is/became what we (and I'm sure a lot of other focus groups) said we wanted. I think a common consensus is that at long as it lasts at least a day of normal use that's good enough. ...of course some think battery life is more important than form-factor...I think they're in the minority...especially since those folks are the ones expecting dual-core processors, etc.

I know some Android phones offer an extended battery for folks, such as yourself, that don't mind giving up a little form-factor for longer life...its just that there's so many models of Android phones that they may not all offer an extended battery.

I tend to feel how changing the looks but dramatically changing the software should have brought in a bigger crowd for the iPhone 4s yet people still look at how it looks and feels in there palm because they want to get the dramatic attention of having one.

The iPhone 4 cannot match Samsung's use of Gorilla Glass, these results are not surprising.

If I was the kind not to use a case on my phone and be clumsy this would be extra important, though accidents do happen. Given that the iPhone's front and back are glass Gorilla Glass SHOULD be used but gosh knows how much more we'd have to pay for that. :heink:

I'm quite impressed this new phone. Also with the new MacBooks, of course there is iPad2. I'm a happy customer, even though I had to pay more money!

I love apple's Iphones, Ipods and Ipads but i cant stand their computers on that i will be PC for life. They are great on mobile products which is what made them huge. But their computers are trully dumbed out and over hyped. I love the freedom pcs give me to choose my own components and experiment and how i can upgrade mother boards and processors before i have to upgrade storage and the different cases also rock. long live the I series and death to the Macbooks and Mac desktops

So because you don't like MacBook and Mac desktops no one should be able to use them? I guess you also think that everyone that likes OSX is not too smart either. :sarcastic:

They are just restrictive over priced machines plain and simple. I give credit where credit is due. dont get offended just because you purchased one due to their marketing scheme or because you like their stylings. I think pcs are better because they are less restrictive allowing me to experiment and actually learn about computers instead on relying on the apple to do everything for me. I'm not sure about you and your tech level but most people i know that use mac computers exclusively are not very tech savy and thus they pay the price for apples support when they need help with their technology needs. Its that old saying you can lead a horse water yada yada yada. I didnt say the users were dumb i said the machines were over simplified stunting the growth of their knowledge when it comes to how actually information technology works and what goes on behind the screen. And if i ever have a friend that needs something fixed for them when their desktop breaks i cant just get one of my space parts and give it to them in a gesture of kindness and compassion they have to go to apple for that shelling out cash and thats not kool. How am i supposed to get chicks if i cant come over and fix their computers huh? So i stand behind my opinion: Ipads and Iphones Ipods are great and cutting edge and Apple desktop workstations and laptops are MEH. sorry bud im sure you are sharper then a chess convention, no offense just some critiquing. I don'tlike how they market macs for artists as if they are better for GFX and music and simpler to use as if artist cant work on a windows or linux machine. I am a music enthusiast and would not give up the experimental expect of my pc for anything. (I record my tracks on a 4 processor 8 gig xeon blade server with linux super stable) they are super upgradable and building an awesome rig is in itself an art form. If you are relying on a mac desktop you are missing out on some great geeky fun and letting apple get all the credit. Now i love my ipod touch you should go get one and play multiplayer games with some pretty girls. The conclusion is somethings are better then others a company is not great at everything, duality is the nature of reality. Apple made technology sexy and PCs make technology productive, practical and bring that friendly competition to the table that fuels inovation. In the end i like old machines running some sweet linux distros the best because with those you can do real work without many distractions.

Having built many many machines I definitely agree that there is A LOT of fun to be had in doing so...and that with getting a Mac you're losing out on that. ...and yes, I do miss it a a little, but its not like I'll never get to build another PC. After building a ton of machines for myself and friends/family I decided to get a MacPro and a MacBook Pro. I do really like them. ...but next time, depending on the state of the tech in 3-4 years I may decide to build again, who knows?

I love having the experience of both building my rigs and having Macs and I love some of the OSX features as well as some of the Windows features. It's a good thing I can run both and don't have to think about choosing.

I'm glad we agree. Don't get me wrong I like how they look and feel. I just like having many choices that i can get lost in. They are saying the PC is dead anyway with the tablet revolution. I'm a gamer too and I love my AMD phenom under a few gallons of baby oil (its in my bedroom needs to be silent and smell good). Just waiting for it to feel sluggish so i can tap the multiplyer. Just cant do that with the mac desktop. They are sleek looking but in my opinion they killed that part of their business with the mobile products that are pure magic which also fueled the begginings of android which i also enjoy. All the best! Use a pretty mac in the kitchen but make sure to a keep an awesome pc in the office to keep it real.

And to cut you some slack and not undermine your computer expertise as I can see you are a reasonable and a person with feelings which is cool and not common with cerebral people. Apple does have some impressive software, maybe they are the next Microsoft and OSX is the new windows if they can make it work on all machines. Like you said, well see in 4 years now that Steve is resting. I feel since he knew he was dying for quite sometime it influenced his business model to make sure apple had the most money and best chance to survive after his departure from this life. Maybe now they can sit back a little and become a true IT giant influencing all aspects of the field, instead of relying on a restrictive business model that undermined their wonderful creations and made less impressive products shine because of the simple fact that they are able to be made custom even if it made the machine running the software perform worse. Not all ideas are meant to survive but experimentation is one idea that will never die. :)

Thx for cutting me some slack. 😉 Mac Pros aren't pretty, they're just as plain looking as any other pre-built workstation. At least I got to put the SSDs and Velociraptors in it and bang up the RAM...but yeah, I definitely miss the tinkering you do when you're building/have built you're own rig.

SSDs rule im getting another one soon. Yeah you know do it when you are bored and in need of some temporary enthusiasms that are not dangerous like adrenaline junkies. Im cutting slack because I pretty much troll for a living and sometimes innocent nice people get caught in the cross fire, im working on having that happen less. All the best to you and your family and your computer. TC
