"Even those who have sworn allegiance to the Android Army still take interest in whatever the next iPhone has to offer -- it's good to know what the other guy is up to."

Not the reason though, but hey I expect this disconnect from THG.

What's with these people commenting before any info is actually released? :|

EDIT> "iPad is 91% of all tablet web traffic! [citation needed] Tim says 'I don't know what these other tablets are doing! They must be in warehouses or store shelves or maybe in peoples' bottom drawer.'"

Oh I don't know, maybe because my tablet browser (and just about all the other android tablets) looks like a desktop browser to websites because of the User Agent.

[citation][nom]ulger[/nom]I'll buy one.Just to throw it into the trash.[/citation]Apple could care less. By buying it, you are giving them money. Think before you speak.

I'll buy one. But only because my 3GS is old. And being a software developer, writing IOS apps is faster, more standardized, and more lucrative than Andriod apps unfortunately.

I don't think your perspective (or understanding) of the Android apps being less lucrative holds up. Maybe 2 years ago, but not today. Maybe you should re-evaluate your position on this.

91% of all tablet web traffic is from iPad.
I wonder how they arrive at that percentage. No doubt that it is a large number for iPad, but my tablet for example, runs the user agent to render as a Desktop. I like the full internet experience and not the limited experience that a lot of website force you to have. I'm sure those numbers a skewed a bit.

ummm i do it every day. Android marketplace is fragmented and distributed. Finding apps is not always easy, getting you apps found is equally challenging...too many app outlets...Google Marketplace, GetJar, SlideMe,etc.. all IOS apps are in 1 place. Not to mention differences in requirements to run on different android devices, different requirements and OS flavors and hardware differences.
The eclipse plugin is slow, huge, a memory hog, and the wysiwyg interface for the IDE is horrible to work with. And considering that I've been writing mobile software since 2009 on IOS and 2010 for android.

Another thing I've found is that IOS uses tend to buy the full version more often than their Android counterparts.

The funny thing with Apple is that everything is always either 200% or 400% faster than the previous gen. While the competition can only claim poor figures like 27,7% speed increase...
I was told that If you repeat the same lie enough times, you end up believing your own lie.
It's revolutionnary, it's revolutionarry, it's revolutionarry, ... doesn't work with me apparently ;-)

with the game, yea it looks nice, now give us some real button controls,
give us a shell to snap it into,
give us SOMETHING to make it an actual controller and not just buttons on a screen or tilting it, and than we will talk.

[citation][nom]article[/nom]The screen boasts 44% better color saturation. Tough sensor integrated right with the screen -- so thinner and better looking.[/citation]

Should that be Touch instead of Tough?

Also:
[citation][nom]article[/nom]New SoC: the Apple A6. Says it is 2x faster in CPU and graphics compared to A5. 22% smaller and more energy efficient.[/citation]

Is is 22% smaller or both 22% smaller and 22% more energy efficient? I'd assume that it's just poorly wored and it's 22% smaller but not 22% more energy efficient, but I'd like to know for sure.

Don't give them your money. Just steal one from the store and burn it.
