[citation][nom]jcurry23[/nom]I read another article saying it had ultra fast wireless, it is just 4g LTE and 150mbs. how is that ultra fast? that is what everybody has now.[/citation]
LTE is the fastest there is for cellular and 150mbs is 802.11n.
150mbs is 18.25MBs which is pretty good considering that most people don't have 20/8MB down/up service at their homes. most people have 3MB/756kbs down/up in their homes. T1, if Im not mistaken is only 1.544MBs so what are you complaining about?

and yet that 5 year old laptop hooked up to a T1 still browses web pages faster... It's all marketing hype. 18MB/s just doen't mean much on an phone/tablet.

The vast majority of the world doesn't even have a 4-32Mb/s down connection. Going past maybe 32Mb/s is rare except in a few Asian and European countries. I could easily call 150Mb/s ultra fast, especially for a mobile phone, albeit it's unlikely to go that high most of the time in most places.

Such internet speeds aren't just for mere web browsing that is limited by so many other things than just the internet bandwidth.

I don't get it. Apple has been litigating about patents and infringements and trying to stifle the competition, then they turn around and release a new mobile phone that for the likes of me looks like an Android variant! I thought Apple is a company that innovates?!?!?!?

Did you feel that? That's Steve Jobs rolling in his grave.

Nothing to see here, time to move on folks!

FaceTime over cell networks. I bet U.S. carriers are pleased - and they may block it. It could be a feature like tethering.

Yup, and hopefully they continue to raise dividends as they charge more! Only way to play smartphones in the U.S. is to buy AT&T and VW stock!

The Android variant that still looks like an iPhone 3G?? LMAO at stupid people

[citation][nom]chuckydb[/nom]2X faster processor... That means they went from 800mhz to most likely 1,5ghz... Wow... Welcome to 2011 Apple.[/citation]
... it is sad, that many people think, that Mhz are the only thing to note, that's describes the power of a CPU... so explain, why intel's i7 clocked @ 4Ghz beats AMD's FX @ 4Ghz? The CPU is just one part of a system and Mhz is just one measurement of it...

I'm so much more excited over the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" than the pretty-vanilla Apple unveils today.

No mention of NFC--which probably means (given Apple's standard "upgrade" route, since the next iphone will probably be just like the 5 only with an updated processor/RAM), the next one probably won't--implying that iphones won't have NFC for 2 years. But I think NFC is already taking off, which means Apple is behind the curve (as even my crappy $130 Android phone on VM has NFC).

I gotta say, what I've read is pretty lackluster for a "new" iphone release. And interestingly enough, despite a relatively good day on the stock market, Apple's stock hasn't reacted positively to this announcement.

It's going to be another Troll fest.

THG is filled with them, what would you expect? look at how much thumbs up on the guy who recommends stealing and burn the store. i know its a joke or troll, but thumbing up a troll post?? i guess if you dont hate apple, you dont belong here according to them.

How dull, and yet despite its incremental "innovative and revolutionary magic" updates it will still sell large amounts. Drone consumerism mode at max levels folks!

Wait a second... My android, which is nearly one year old, can take a fantastic panoramic photo. Your telling me the legendary iphone just got this??

Oh well. i guess they were too busy patenting their amazing rectangles to put this on previous iphones. :)

You do know that the cortex a processors are an ARM license often made by Samsung for Apple. How exactly is that an argument for Apple being innovative.

I need a few laughs. Waiting for iCrap's new piece of jailamoronin junk. Just got done talking to a guy who had to throw hi iPad away because, well, the battery was not working right and to replace it would have been more expensive than buying a new one. Yes, that is iCrap for you.
