Maybe because Apple has the power to make devices which are market revolutions such as the iPod and iPhone? Which sell millions per year and are in every wish lists of people who can't afford it? Get over it...

Who cares about tablets? No one wants a tablet. Maybe Apple can figure out how to make a few people think they want a tablet but really have you ever said to your self "boy I wish I had a tablet computer right now"?

I'm not an apple fan by any means, I own not a single apple product but I have indeed said to myself that I wish I had a tablet PC. Problem is I'd want one with all day battery life. I'm not one of the people that feels the need to spend excessive amounts per month on cell phone data plans so I can browse the web on a 3 inch screen. I would easily have no problem carrying something like this around to replace a netbook, but for 1000 bucks it better be packing hardware better than one.
