Question Apps constantly crashing but not while in games

Happening across everything, browser, discord, spotify, epic games and league client etc. They just randomly crash/restart, but it doesn't happen while in games. Dont even know where to start on this
 
check your window event log for errors

to have a look what the problem could be:

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

clean boot

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool and if available, update the firmware

Thanks for the reply, this is all for a friend who hasnt any experience with pcs, i got them to run the userbenchmark here are the results, ill have to walk them through the rest when i can

please post the link of the result, the benchmark results itself are not that relevant for now. the informations i´ll get from it like BIOS version, free space, ram frequency, used hardware, ... can give more of a hint what the problem could be.
