APU vs Dedicated CPU and GPU

I'm building my first gaming pc and I'm on a strict budget. I'm wondering which is better for me an AMD A10 7850k or a AMD Athlon 5350 with a dedicated AMD graphics card. If I let something out please ask. Thanks for help.

I'd say the AMD A10 7850k would generally be better, but it all depends on what GPU you would get with the Athlon.
So what GPU's are you looking at? Im more than happy to help out (obviously knowing your budget would help)

I'm looking at a r7 265 or r9 270 or 270x
I'm trying to go as cheap as possible. I mean I'm taking an old hard drive from my previous computer so I would be about $500 max
