I have some Arctic Silver thermal compound (not paste or adhesive).
A friend dropped a video card and the HSF popped off the chip. I know that you can mix AS and glue to make a paste that sticks but I can't remember the ratio. Does anyone remember what it is or the web site that describes how to do this?

Thanks for the help.

I don't know about the glus + AS mixture, but I belive you can get AS epoxy.

Another option is that lots of video cards have holes in them for screws to clamp down the HSF. Perhaps he could rig something up or get a different fan or whatever.

What sort of video card are we talking about? Some such as the GF2mx don't need it. As for GF, GF2, MX OCing the memory is where all the performance increase happens.

I know you can get the Arctic Silver paste but I don't have that and I have a lot of extra AS compound.
It is for a HS for over the ram chips so there are no holes for screwing on the HS. I think it is a GF2 Ultra.

I need to know the ratio. I guess I will just try 50:50 or something. I will experiment to see what works.
