Question Are MSI motherboard good? And is it safe to buy from their website?

I've never seen a serious study comparing manufacturers.

You might have good or bad luck with any of them. I'd shop on the basis of required features, price, reliability of the seller, return privileges, etc.....rather than the brand alone. You can easily find bad experiences for any brand.

I've had good and bad luck with Asrock....but that's just an anecdote that you should ignore.

I've never heard bad words about buying direct from MSI, but I'd probably try to buy from Amazon or Newegg instead if the price was similar....they might have better customer service if you have problems.

Can you list the parts you want to pair with your possible motherboard purchase? What kind of a budget have you set aside for your motherboard purchase? MSI isn't a terrible brand for a motherboard but if you have access to other boards from the same brand, then why not?

Where are you located+preferred site for purchase?

I actually found a new MOBO I liked, but I heard ASUS has HUGE problems with selling bad Mobo.

Here is what I'm currently looking to build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9DVmkf

Preferred site is Amazon and Best Buy. Although I'm open to Newegg I've never used them though. I'm trying to keep the MOBO around $100 and probably even less. I'd prefer to not have to update the bios for the MOBO as soon as it gets here though. Which what pcpartpicker says I pretty much have to do with every MOBO under $100.

I've personally never had any issues with MSI, and because of that, I like them. I know others that have, and because of that, they hate them. Consumer logic 101. With that said, I've also experienced this with every manufacturer. If you're getting a deal on the board and it offers everything for your build, then why not go for it?

Want to buy the B550 GEN3 because it's $99.99 on their website right now, but I heard the company is kind of terrible. Should I go with another board? Was thinking ASRock over MSI or GiGabyte.

That board is terrible, with a weak VRM, and I would not buy it.

CS wise, I have had MSI customer service straight up lie to me before, but your mileage may vary.

The Asus Prime B550 is not very good either, for same reason as that MSI board.

Your PSU is not going to handle that GPU. Low on wattage and quality.
