Hello,

In mid-December I built my first computer! It has a i7-3930k on a asus rampage iv extreme. It will run idle at around 30 degrees, maybe into the 40s when playing games for a bit. But then I got the idea of overclocking the CPU, well because the motherboard is "Built for extreme overclocking". I did the new overclock thing in the motherboard were you just type in a number and it oc's to that number. For instance 43= 4.3 Ghz 35=3.5Ghz and so on. I read an overclocking guide and they said 43 is pretty stable so I went ahead and did 43. The oc rebooted itself and I went back into the bios, everything was going well then I check the temps 94 digress. Is this normal? What can I do to get it to run cooler?

Thank you

Ok so I'm in bios, it is running at 4 ghz at 23 Degress! Yay we did it. But now here is a,problem that I'm not sure is a problem, it says CPU turbo mode speed is 3.4 ghz but my CPU is at 4 . Will it underclok itself to get to 3.4
