You can scale down to the 5600x if you want to save money. It is better than the 3800x, but this will give you even more longevity and performance...

If the board is from an older batch released before the launch of BIOS version F10, which is highly unlikely by now due to amount of time passed since then, then it wont work out of the box. But that is not an issue as the board comes with the below feature which you can use to update BIOS. If its from a recent batch, it should come updated.
