Question Arma 3 has no ingame sound

i have started arma 3 today to find the game had no sound. i played it yesterday and everything was fine.

the game cache files checked out fine although when validating it also validated the steam common redistributables as well.

i have reinstalled the drivers for my motherboard but that didnt solve the issue. other games as well as videos and such play fine its just arma that has no sound at all. i have tried unloading all mods and play the game vanilla but so far nothing has worked.

a bit of a bummer since i recently upgraded my PC specifically to play A3.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

perhaps i should have added...
i have my PC hooked up to my telly because i read that this could cause the issue. after trying a headset i found out it must be connected to my PC being hooked up to the tv because i do get sound when plugging in headphones.

so is there a way to make sure the arma sound is going through the TV?
everything else works just not arma.

found a temporary fix for people having the same problem,
i have deactivated realtec digital audio and that works..for me at least
