My PC has BSOD last night and was not giving display after I restarted it. Then I started trouble shooting which I am outlining below:

  1. Removed GPU, All RAMs, All Storage devices. Result: no display
  2. Added one RAM stick and primary OS SSD, also removed CMOS cell and put it back again.
Result: Go into BIOS and it shows RAM and SSD but boot menu is empty.

3. Plugged in a bootable external USB flash drive with Windows Setup. Restarted

Result: PC goes into windows setup and in the drive selection page in it also shows SSD partitions and also shows the space to be occupied (means ssd is good and data is still there?), but the main issue which occured in step 3 was artifacts on screen. Red dots, sometimes green dots all iver the screen were visible.

My specs: ASUS H670 PLUS D4 I5-12400 16x2, 8x2 GB RAM XPG Core Reactor 750w RTX 3090 Samsung Odyssey 27 inch monitor

Use GPU-Z and see if you're seeing zero(0)'s in some or most fields. To add, do you see an error 43 flagged for your GPU in Device Manager? For the sake of relevance, what is the BIOS version for your motherboard?

Lastly, you're supposed to be working with a 1.2KW reliably built PSU as you have an RTX3090 in your system.

Moved thread from Components section to Graphics cards section.
