Question Asrock 970m Pro3 problems

Hello, I recently bought one of Asrocks motherboards after my old one kicked the bucket. I was reading from several websites (newegg, pcpartpicker) that the 970m Pro3 motherboard is compatsble with my CPU, a AMD 9370 eighy-core, yet whenever I try to start my computer I get a message saying that "CPU not in CPU support list" - is there anything I can do? I have tried updating their UEFI with a USB Flash but that didnt work either.

I used to have that board. It would only support my FX-8350 at stock (or slightly above). So, I doubt it has the capacity to handle the FX 9370 well anyway. Can you still return it for refund? The Asrock 970A-G/3.1 is what I have now for my old OC'ed FX-8350. It is a very good board for that era CPU.

It seems that the asrock 970 motherboard only support those CPU TPD under 140W.
