Can i use led strips on this motherboard? Have anyone tried it?

You can use led strips anywhere, anytime, as many as you want in any pc no matter what it's age or whatever. That's not the issue. The issue I see is that that 990FX has no onboard controller for led. None of those older boards did, ever, leds weren't even a consideration back then, ppl still used florescent lights.

So any led strips will need their own controller for on/off, affects, colors.
