Question asrock b550 pg velocita and AMD Ryzen 7 2nd Gen - Ryzen 7 2700X Pinnacle Ridge (Zen+) 8-Core 3.7 GHz

WIll these two be compatible? I tried with one motherboard at first and RMAed because it kept giving me 4d code, which it seems is a memory issue. But after troubleshooting it seems that mayb ethe MoBo was the issue. Just received a new one and haven't even opened it yet and I keep seeing both that the CPU is compatible, but also not. Would like to know so I can exchange for a compatible board if I need to before trying again. Last time the issue was giving me that 4d and no display turning on at all. Thanks in advance!

I would say no. Judging from your motherboard's CPU Support page on the ASRock website, it won't work. It does not list the Ryzen 2000 series as compatible.
