HI everyone.

Right now Newegg (CDN) has a pretty big deal on ASRock B550M PRO4 AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. Currently priced at 114.99 (CDN) and with a $40 rebate. Currently in my system I using the B450 Tomahawk Max. Is it worth upgrading? I am also curious if for sure this MOBO allows for 2 M.2 storage devices to be installed and usable as I bought one on sale awhile ago and I thought the Toma had the capability.

Any and all feedback or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Which CPU ? R5 3600x ? No. a B550 would not help any because CPU has only PCIe v3.0 while b550 has v4.0 and any GPU and NVME drive would work at v3.0 speed. So, unless you upgrade to 5000 series Ryzen you would have no better performance.

I am more curious about the MOBO for sure being able to house 2 M.2 storage devices.

It does support M.2 SATA and NVME but with these conditions

- 1 x M.2 Socket (M2_2), supports M Key type 2280 M.2 SATA3 6.0 Gb/s module and M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen3 x2 (16 Gb/s)**

*M2_2 and SATA3_5_6 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the other one will be disabled.

**Supports NVMe SSD as boot disks
NVMe SSD is not supported with AMD Athlon™ 3000G Processors
