Can someone help me understand the following table regarding RAM specs on ASROCK B550M Pro4?

For context, I currently have 2 sticks and both are installed on the 2nd and 4th slots and running at 3200mhz. According to the table my current configuration is valid, so no problem there. Now, I'm planning to add 2 more sticks and I want to run all 4 at 3200mhz but according to the table if 4 slots are filled I can only run all of them at 2933mhz or 2667mhz. Is my understanding correct? Can someone clear this up for me. Thanks in advance.

You are correct.
Thanks for confirming.

How much memory do you have now? How much more do you intend to add?
I currently have 16gb (2x8gb) and I'm planning to another 16gb.

Is there a purpose behind the increase?
Yes, I'm running quite low on memory due to docker.

Another question, if 2667mhz is the max that I can go for, is it okay to just buy 2667mhz variant instead of 3200mhz for the additional 16gb?

Thanks for confirming.

First, adding more sticks is not recommended, results range from not working at all to poor compatibility and speed and/ or loosing dual channel. One single kit of 2 is recommended. So to be sure replace those with 2x16GB kit.
Secondly. those frequency numbers are without overclocking, if you have Ryzen 5000 series you can comfortably run 3600MHz RAM and set it using XMP.
Third, using 4 sticks places too much load on memory controller so you need to use much lower speeds.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll just replace both with 16GB sticks like you said.
As CountMike said, just get 2x16 and you'll be set. Don't mix makes/models.
Yes, I'll do just that.

Thanks again to both of you. I really learned a lot. 👍
