Should i update ASRock H270 Bios to address the CPU Security Bug (Meltdown-Spectre) or wait early next Month were all patches (from Bios, Drivers and Windows patches get most of release)?

CPU : Intel i5 7600 CPU Kaby Lake

I did download that tool to check its say YES on Both few weeks ago when it was announced through GURU3D. AV Detected the supposely false positives for that Application.

Just waiting for information for stable reliable Windows Patches, Bios Update and Possible Drivers Update to be released start of Next Month February, so i can apply it all at once after that i can see what i can do optimize for better performance.

Intel i5 7600 (Kaby Lake)
Intel i9 7940X (Skylake-X)

the sad part, i was just starting to play with the idea of upgrading my cpu/mobo to a 7940x, you know that "let's take a look" curiosity you get that then turns into hours spent in deep research, and then pulling the trigger.

Think i'll hold off till at least the next gen CPUs come out

This Silicon Changes to address the Meltdown and Spectre Security Bugs.
Is this a Joke?

I suspect they will NOT have a reliable BIOS Patch cause Intel does not know what they doing. For people who bought the defective Kaby Lake Chips and Coffee Lake Chips are not going get any compensation from performance impact up to 30%.

The "Issues" from updates probably happen at random, so it might not happen right away...

Expect the unexpected. Just waiting for full reliability of updates to address this 1995 Security Issue for CPU.

"Not only was Intel's fix for the Spectre attack causing reboots and stability issues, but Microsoft also found it resulted in the worse scenario of data loss or corruption in some circumstances."
Great even worst...there some results leading corruption and data loss. More unexpected occurring issues.

So far ASRock did not put back the new BIOS Update while others Motherboards Makers did not pull theirs..
Feel likes this Intel releasing BIOS Update to address Spectre-Meltdown is garbage like stuff and a big mess for many other people.

All i can say since we do not have reliable patches for Spectre and meltdown.

I will depend on latest Drivers Update, Browsers Update and AntiVirus/Firewall Update

They rushed everything that has been released so far. :pfff:

Good Luck to us ALL.

I even try to Windows Update on my Windows 10 Education 64-bit, but it only goes up to Last December 2017 Update...i think Microsoft disabled it for Auto Windows Update.

But i manually installed all valid Windwos 10 64-Bit patches no problems yet.
Microsoft also fixed Intel Buggy Patch few days ago....I think better to have the OS Software fixes the Meltdown or Spectre.

Cause Intel released BIOS Updated cause unstable system.

AMD also affected, but i think AMD did not help Microsoft that well causing those reboot issues cause AMD believe their CPU Security is better than Intel ...

I think Microsoft the one that fixed the Reboot issues

Did they release stable patches for Specter Security Bug
I suing Kaby Lake CPU and a Skylake X CPU

Looks like they released a "hopefully stable" bios update for most ASRock Motherboards for 200/300 Series

This is reliable?

I have not install Latest Nvidia Geforce Driver for my 1050 Ti that would increase Performance (FPS +4 to +10 fps Increase) and Spectre Bios Update for my Asrock H270...

If i install both of them will the Spectre Bios Update negate the performance increases for games like PUBG?

In PUBG no fps improvements as The Bios update basically negated the Geforce Drivers Frame Rate Improvements for PUBG.
