Hey guy, I've put a PCPP list for my next build, linked below. I have decided on all the parts, even bought some already, but I am still torn about the motherboard. After (too) much research I narrowed it down to two ASRock boards: B650M PG Riptide and B650M-HDV/M.2

The issue is I'm having trouble figuring out if the Riptide is worth the extra 50+ pounds. From what I can tell the main differences are the better VRMs, more USB and an additional PCIe/M.2 slot. I don't mind it if there are some meaningful upgrades, but I'm wondering if it's not just due to dodgy pricing in my region?

Do you intend to OC your rig? What CPU and memory do you intend to use?

Your build links were broken. Links for the actual motherboards added to your OP.
Oh, sorry no idea what happened there. I have a copy of this message and the links work just fine. I'll try again, this is the full build with the Riptide, I would keep everything the same for the other board - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/yBgn89

If you are going to OC, the Riptide is more suitable. If not, save some money and go with the other one.

Modern systems really don't need to be OCed to achieve impressive results. Still, it is something many like to tinker with.
I see, from what I understand there isn't much point/room for OC on the parts I'm aiming for and I probably wouldn't bother even if there was.

I'm still waiting for the CPU to arrive, so I have some time to keep an eye out for any deals with all of this in mind. Thank you for the help.:]
