Question ASRock x670e + Ryzen 7 7700x + Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600 not posting

Hi all,

I have just built a new system having as core components the items listed on the title: motherboard ASRock x670e , CPU Ryzen 7 7700X, and DRAM Corsair Vengeance 32GB 5600.

The MB is not posting, the post status check lights up red for CPU and GPU. I have already tried updating the BIOS as well as testing each of the memory sticks individually. The outcome is still the same, both CPU and GPU with red led. As you can see by the picture the DRAM RGB is lit, and when 2 sticks are present, they are both lit and are in sync with the pattern, but it will still not post even if I leave it running for minutes.

Any ideas besides RMA? TIA!

You’ve tried resetting CMOS each time?

I did, in fact tonight I left the system unplugged and removed the battery. This morning I will try with a different set of DDR5.
ASRock support told me to get in touch with the seller and ask for a replacement as it is within the first 30 days. I am trying to avoid that.

Honestly, Asrock is KNOWN for memory training issues. If you have a bios flashback option you could try the latest bios for better memory compatibility but it may just not work. More likely the motherboard than the RAM.

Turns out it was my mistake after all.
The 8-pin CPU power cable was not fully inserted on the modular PSU and I could not see it clearly inside the PSU housing.
I swapped the new system PSU with my older Ryzen 5 am4 PSU and it worked, so I brought the new modular PSU back, plugging the cables I needed before it was installed in the housing. This time it all worked!
Thank you for all the ideas!
