Question Asrock x870 Taichi pcie question

I want to buy this mobo with 9800X3D but if i use my 7900 XTX in primary pcie slot and a 4 port SATA expansion card x1 or x4 will my gpu run in x8 mode or x16?
I am under assumption it will run at x8.

And what about MSI MPG X870E carbon wifi? It has 3 PCIE slots while the third slot is powered by chipset so i think if i use CPU in Slot 1 and my sata card in 3 gpu will still retain x16?
No x870e motherboard comes with 8 sata ports, my only other option is to get the older Asrock x670e Taichi.

You have access to 6xSATA ports. Maybe if you maxed out on the capacity, you wouldn't need an add-on storage controller/card...?

Out of curiosity, what are you intending to do with the build? A server/NAS?

I obviously asked because i have a need for more then 6 sata ports.
I have tons of 8 TB and 16 TB hdds connected directly into my pc for my video editing purposes that contains around couple decades of data which is backed into my NAS.
I am currently on an ASRock x570 Creator which natively allows me to connect my hdds. And no, i don't use those hdds for OS or my games, i also have 3 ssd's, 2 nvme and 1 sata

Sucks, guess MSI carbon it is then, i would have liked to get Asrock taichi lite which is $100 cheaper and i am already running x570 asrock setup and quite happy with it. Its just my Ryzen 3900x is quite old now and warrants an update.

they been pushing m.2 connection. supposedly x870 can have up to 8 sata port. but haven't found any
