I recently purchased the x870e taichi, 9800x3d, and 64 gigs of kingston fury and now occasionally my system will freeze during a reboot with the 0d debug code. This only happens when I reboot, but not every time. I flashed to the latest BIOS before any other hardware touched the board. Anyone know what causes this? I just want to be sure that its not defective hardware. Other than the reboot issue, my system seems to run fine. Gaming is stable, Cinebench and 3dmark run fine. Temps seem normal. A little higher than what I'm used too, but im coming from a ryzen 7 3700x with a noctua nh-d14. As I'm typing this now im sitting at 42c. During gaming ill spike around 80c, but usually sit around 70c-75c. I was running HWINFO64 but I uninstalled that thinking that may be the cause. I also uninstalled afterburner and riva tuner to play it safe. This didn't help. The only monitoring software I have running is coretemp and iCUE with the ASUS plugin. Does anyone have any idea on whats going on or how to fix this issue?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU. If you recycled the PSU from an older build, please mention it's age as well as what it'd powered prior to this new build of yours.

Make and model of your case? Come to think of it, if you recycled the OS drive from your older platform, did you reinstall the OS?

The PSU I'm using is a Corsair RM1200X Shift that I purchased back in Nov of 2023. My previous system was a Ryzen 7 3700x, Asus x570 ROG Crosshair viii Dark Hero, 16gb (2x8gb) g.skill Ripjaw V, and a Noctua nh-d14. I'm using the same drives and everything is sitting in a Corsair 7000X rgb. And I did do a clean install of windows following the instructions on Microsoft's website. I didn't reformat or redo partitions. And first thing I did after reinstalling OS was to update my drivers, chipset, LAN, bt, gpu, etc. When installing the OS I had the memory running at default speed. Only after the OS was installed did I enable Expo. Not sure if that matters.
