Hey guys.

I just bought AC Unity on Steam and I can't make it work. I double click on the game's icon, the 'preparing to launch' message appears for a couple of seconds and then nothing happens. I'm stuck on a loop of pressing 'Play', seeing 'Stop' for a few seconds and then 'Play' again. There's not even a .exe in Task Manager.

Any idea what might be causing this? Everything is up to date, by the way. Thanks in advance!

Did you follow steps suggested from steam? Did you read right through it?

Between what has been said here and there im confident there would have been a fix and you're doing something wrong.
Like I said, I have everything properly installed and updated. I have both the x64 and x86 versions of the 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015 - 2019 redistributables. I have updated my graphics card, Steam, the Ubisoft launcher. There are a few people on Steam saying that the Ubisoft servers might be down but I've tried launching AC Odyssey which requires the Ubisoft launcher and it works nicely. I seriously have no idea what else to try,

You've probably seen this already. Apparently game has issues with it's sound folder. Don't know why Ubisoft just don't fix it.

Try move sound folder to your other drive or usb and use program mentioned there to link.

I know it's a huge muck around to get this working but seems the only way. Maybe ask Ubisoft support why such workaround (link them to it for reference) is needed for Unity and hopefully receive an answer worth reading.

No problem at all! I'll give these things a try as well. I'm really interested in finding a solution anyway. Thanks for the help nevertheless! :)
