[SOLVED] Asus A320M-K with Ryzen 3400G

Hi all , just finished building my PC and it won't boot . Its a A320M-K mobo with Ryzen 3400G Fan spins ok , no sounds from the buzzer. Could it be the issue with the old bios version ? I contacted amazon asking if they could find out which bios version was it shipped with but got a reply that the board must be dead and they will send a replacement

It's almost certainly a BIOS issue. Amazon aren't going to know what's on there.

Would you recommend getting a different board or trying to update it with an older CPU ? I think mate of mine has athlon cpu somewhere ...

Sounds like a bios issue.

I would suggest getting a very cheap B450 with MSI flashback to update the bios for 3rd gen support without a compatable cpu.

If your friends Athlon is a 200 series one it will work to update the bios. Older athlons (even if socket is correct) are not capable of updating the bios for 3rd gen support
