CPU: A10-6800K 4.4Ghz
MeM: Corsair Vengeance PRO 16GB (2x8GB) 1866Mhz
MoBo: ASUS A88X-PRO
PSU: Cooler Master 700W
GPU: XFX HD 7950 3GB

My entire system shuts down on it's own every roughly 12hrs., and I have reason to believe it is the MoBo. All parts bought at same time, except MoBo is only 2 weeks old. I updated the latest BIOS dated 1/3/2014, and absolutely nothing is OC'd on my system. I have been monitoring any over-heating issues, and there are none. I even went as far as un-seating CPU and reapplied Thermal paste and re-seated 'just in case'.
I believe that this MoBo has some type of auto shutdown of 12hrs of some sort. Is this correct? Is it already in the BIOS/CMOS/MoBo to do this? I am stumped.
Why do i think it's the MoBo? I 'was' using a Gigabyte MoBo before this all started, and it wasn't doing this.

I honestly 'did' consider doing that. However, to be honest, I am aware of this 12hr reboot timer, and other than that, I can live with it. I just wanted to know if anyone else has this MoBo and has encountered this minute matter. Board works great! Does everything it says it does, etc etc etc...no problems setting up BIOS, stays at roughly 23c to 26c under most usage. CPU goes anywhere from 39c to 43c. SSD is at 32c and HDD is at 34c. And my GPU is at 32c (at this time). Better than expected/normal. So I know it is not an overheating issue.
As for my PSU, works like a charm. I don't even come close to using the full 700W. I have paper clip tested it, and also used a volt meter to be safe. Running as intended. No faults. To add, I never crash under normal and/or heavy gaming or movie watching. it's just at that 12th. hr. that it reboots my comp with no error messages or any over heating problems. I'm guessing that ASUS incorporated this little safety issue into the BIOS/CMOS or maybe even the ChipSet somehow to say, 'Hey! I've been on for 12hrs consecutively! You still there?!". Strange.
Oh well. If anyone has this MoBo also, please hit me up. I want to know what modifications you have made to your system, why, and does your comp reboot itself at the 12th hr.
Thanks!

Did you re-install Windows 7/8 from scratch when you swapped motherboards? (source of many evils you'll fix no other way)

Unless you had a Full-Retail version of Windows 7/8 you usually can not Re-use it when you change a major component like the motherboard. The license from MS is keyed to motherboard/CPU. So, system will "shut down" after a certain period until you register it (but I believe that was only 2 hours....)

'Technically' you cannot re-use it, however, if you have an original Windows 7 CD, you can keep using over and over again. You bought the license that goes with that particular CD, and when you install new hardware, say, a new HDD, once installed you put in the same key code, go through their automated service, and usable again.
I did a fresh install of Windows 7. Waiting for word from ASUS as to this matter.

Thanks for posting

I have no UPS that I can borrow. Seeing as though I am not always on the computer, this 12hr. reboot is really no big deal. I just happened to notice it after 2 days of continual gaming, 13hr. spree one day, then another 14hr. spree another. I'm down to 3hrs of gaming a day every other day or so. Therefore, this is not really a gigantic issue. I was just wondering if this was built in to the MoBo.

Thanks for the response.

PS: Waiting on ASUS to reply to me. Board is only 5 weeks old. So if i need to RMA, I will.
