Hi people.

I've built a new system using these components:
- asus a88xm-a mobo
- A10-5800K
- G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 PC3-17000 8GB 2x4GB CL9
- Seagate barracuda 2TB
- power supply 450w NOX

Well, I've a big problem because it's imposible to enable the dual channel ram. I've installed the ram modules following asus indications (DIMM_A1&DIMM_B1 or DIMM_A2&DIMM_B2), and the bios detects 2X4GB modules but only shows a total ram of 4GB [I'm including a photo who shows this point].

Currently I've installed the ram modules in DIMM_A1&DIMM_A2 and the bios shows a total ram of 8GB, but I'm not using the dual channel. Maybe is there something weird with my mobo?, because it has the bios version 0402, and well the latest asus bios published for this mobo is the version 0311. :heink:

Well, I'll appreciate any help :)

I AM USING IT!

I want to share my experience with Asus A88XMA with A10 7850k. I have struggled with the technical service for 6 months. my apu got replaced, my rams got refund, however neither of my problems solved which are: No video signal with dvi and hdmi, and second was dual channel ram configuration was resulting in windows crashes.

My configuration was A10 7850k, Asus axxma and kingston 2*4gb 2133mhz hyperx beast series. At last, technical service burnt my mobo and decided to refund it. Simultaneously, i got an older mobo (asus a68hm-k https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A68HMK/overview/ ) and everyting worked perfectly. Although asus states that a88xma is compatible with fm2+ socket, i saw many threads with same problems. Most of them got RMA and i became on of them :)

One more thing: dont use amd drivers. it killed my fps after installing. I am runnin 2 monitors (dvi+vga) with asus drivers.

Hi everyone!
I guess i found it.
I had the same issue with my Mobo a88xm-a. The symptoms were just the same. I replaced the Mobo but the problem remained the same. So i decided to replace the CPU..and you know what.. It hepled!
The cpu was the part which couldn't operate with dual channel memory: everytime i tried to put the Dimm into a channel B slot, the system didn't start.
My rig:
asus a88x-plus
amd athlon x4 860k
Kingston HyperX 2x8Gb 1866Mhz CL10
Kingston SSD 128Gb
