Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe MB

I would like to know if current models of hd vid card w/hdmi out will work with this MB. Most of the new cards are psi express x16 2.0/2.1, and what about the audio,
would it output via the HDMI port too.

You are 150% correct if I was using this as a gaming PC, but I'm not. I will build new at some point but for now I just want to upgrade to a HD vid card(cheap) that will work with this MB. It's hooked up to my Samsung 40" HDTV right now and I'm stream movies and videos and stuff, would like to hear what I'm watching through TV spearkers and not headphones. You know HDMI out to HDMI in. Running Win7 Pro 64bit OS, 1st WinOS I can say that l kind like even over XP Pro 64bit. Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Peace Out.

I see you and I shop at one of my fav spots 4 tech. Yes I did see some of those same boards at da egg. But the question still remains will any of those work with my MB, as I state in my 1st post, the new boards are PCI Express x16 2.0 or 2.1 so will they work ?? and if so will I get audio through the HDMI out ?? THAT'S what I need to know before I buy. Thanks again for the info.

Any new card should be faster than my old vnidia 8800 gts, even without the benes of 2.0/2.1 speeds.....right??

I'm thinking the same, no less than the HD5670 or HD5770, both of those would have more on card memory and a higher clock speed for sure. OK I think I'm all set. Thanks again malmental.
