Hello everyone!

I have one stupid but interesting question in my mind. I want to know if I could use a Nvidia card on a single slot of AMD Crossfire compatible motherboard? See, I have this ASUS ROG B350 in mind due to its build and stealth looks. My local store has sale on it for about 80 so I am tempted! Plus why are there so few reviews about it? I mean really!

Also in case one GPU slot gets damaged I can use another one, right? Plus I can place my card on another slot to include a larger CPU cooler in future!

Please share your thoughts.

AMD crossfire certified means that you can run a dual AMD graphics card setup with like cards from AMD's camp. Since the board has a PCI-e x16 3.0 slot at your disposal(the first one), you can drop any branded GPU into that slot so long as it conforms to PCI-e x16 standards.

Before your go out and buy the GPU, we're going to need to know what the rest of your system's specs are...? Lack of a reliable PSU can and will take out your entire investment.

PSU is at 550W Gold Plus 80.

Specs:
Intel SSD 256GB
PSU Cooler Master GX550 W
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 MSI Gaming X
RAM: Getting new ones for Ryzen
CPU: Ryzen 15 600

But here's where I am at right now. I went through the manual and found out the both GPU slots are PCI-e x 16 3.0. So I can use any one of them for my single Nvidia GPU, right? I know this is a dumb question but I have to double check since I wanna keep this mobo running for next 3 years at least.

And please tell your opinion about it ? Since I am switching to Ryzen from Intel.
