I have found that by overclocking my eee pc to 1.92 Ghz, I get a HUGE performance boost with the little ah heck... I practically live with my Netbook now, for all the reasons mentioned by MDillenbeck. Unlike him, I have no issues with screen resolution however. I practically live with that thing now.

You sure it's equipped with a desktop processor, and not the upcoming Atom netbook processor, the N550?
 
Sounds like a nice setup as long as it doesn't come with that stupid mouse with side buttons that was on the original model.

What's CULV? It may seem like a dumb question, but I've never heard of that term.
 
here's to hoping for a cheap laptop that can run some relatively light games like WoW. lol, or we can go the other direction and watch the poor thing suffer under the crippling wrath of crysis maxed out
