[SOLVED] Asus FX553VD unable to turn on after moving and returning RAM

Hello,

A friend of mine opened his Asus FX553VD to take a look at the RAM slots.

Things he did:

1. There was already a stick at the 1st slot and he removed it to take a closer look.
2. He placed it back into the 1st slot. This time, the laptop didn't turn on. Only the power indicator lit up momentarily before turning off again.
3. He moved the RAM stick into the 2nd slot and tried turning it on. This time, the hard drive access indicator, power indicator, and the airplane indicator lit up, but nothing on the screen turned on.
4. He tried turning it on without the RAM stick installed, but the outcome is the same as in step 3.

What he's tried:
- CMOS reset with the battery method

Other information that might be useful:
- The RAM stick is an SK Hynix H5AN8G8NAFA 8GB DDR4

Any ideas on how to fix this or what could the problem be? Thanks a lot.

Maybe he's not pushing them properly back into the ram's dimm slots.
