hi, do you think that gpu without power supply plug-in perform worse then ones with?

time ago i accidentally bought asus gtx 1050 2gb without power supply plug-in and since then i kind of feel like, it doesnt really do the job i was expecting

i feel like i have a potato gpu in my rig

If you are asking if there are GTX1050 models that are slightly faster than the ones that run off the PCIe slot, then yes, there are a few. Better cooling and a little more access to power and they can be clocked faster or boost more often. However, the real problem is the GTX1050 GPU itself.

It is an entry level gaming graphics card. Far better than previous generation entry level offerings, but still entry level. You should be able to get 30-40FPS at Medium settings in most titles.

Some of the output also depends on the computer you plugged it into.

For a sense of scale (SM = Shader Modules, or clusters of 128 CUDA cores):
GTX1030 2GB 3/3 SM unts
GTX1050 2GB 5/6 SM units
GTX1050 3GB 6/6 SM units
GTX1050Ti 4GB 6/6 SM units
