[SOLVED] asus h410m-k combo?

i got that motherboard on a bargain, my question is , will it run well with a i7 10700 knowing its a 65tdp cpu?

or i should stick to something like a lower tier i5, such as the 10400~

my question regards not losing performance and being able to squeeze all the juice in a mid tier gaming rig.

The VRM on that board are not particularly robust. It is built for budget office systems and the like. I personally would not consider going over the 10400-ish level on that motherboard.

would u say an i5 around 10400/10400f/10500 would do the trick though? with a mid level gpu and 16 gb of ram ?

In reference to the motherboard working well with that level of CPU. Yes, should work well enough on that aspect.

As to the gaming perf. you should probably consider watching some videos or reading reviews about the CPU/GPU combo you have in mind being tested in games you are interested in playing. Subtract about 15% of performance as it appears in YouTube videos (they are tricksy) and should give you a ballpark idea of the performance to expect.

i would say anything around 1660- 1660 ti, or even a 2060 would work perfectly no?

i wont go beyond that, was thinking about a 1070 gtx or something similar

I agree, that level of GPU should be a nice match for some 1080/low-mid gaming at decent frames.
