Are 4 memory sticks better than 2? What is dual channel memory?

You want to get the total DRAM/memory you want in the least amount of sticks down to two i.e. 16 GB - get 2x8GB rather than 4x4GB or 8GB total get 2x4GB rather than 4x2GB - the less sticks the less stress on the MC (memory controller) - and you want at least 2 stick to be able to enable dual channel where the 2 or more sticks work as one and increase performance up to 10-15% over single channel

Thanks for the feedback! 2 sticks it is. And that allows expansion to 32 Gb by adding 2 more sticks later.

I wasn't sure if dual channel required 2 or 4 sticks. Now I know!
