Question Asus Hyper M.2 X16 V2

Howdy everyone. I have a taichi x370 Asrock with a ryzen 1700x, but I seem to be having some issues. I have 2 m.2s installed already taking up 2 of the pci lanes, plus a gpu. PCI slot 2 should be fine but it seems to only see one of the m.2's. I am not looking for a fancy raid or anything. I have 2 1tb WD nvmes plugged in, but I can only see one and cannot interact with it. Anyone ever have an issue like this before?

You motherboard needs to support bifuraction on the pcie slot for the card to show the other nvme drive.

I have 2 open pci slots, are there any adapters that would work for this purpose using a single m.2 on each slot? I see a lot of cheap m.2 adapters that are pcie but the reviews seems sketchy. My cpu should have the lanes to utilize 2 more m.2s but I am unsure of using these literal 14$ devices. any tips?
