Question Asus laptop internal graphics slot

I would like to know which slot is this.
This is a GeForce GT 555M graphic card pulled from the laptop Asus N55SF (a laptop from 2011).
Some Asus models around this time used this slot. Anyone knows if its a sort of PCI Express?

If it's a swappable laptop GPU, then it's probably a MXM card. Mobile pci eXpress Module.

As far as I can see, this slot is actually a MXM slot, but proprietary one from Asus. This slot was very promising in theory, but they screwed in practice. This could enable things like external PCIe for GPUs, but it is nearly impossible. It’s a sad story…
